Before graduating from the University of Illinois, I had an opportunity to be a teller for Marine Bank. This bank was like no other. It was opened 7am until midnight, 7 days a week. University students, like myself, were the heart and soul of the teller line. I learned many skills from those early days in banking but what I remember the most was the leadership displayed by our Officers and the commitment they had to their clients. Regardless of their titles, it was not unlike them to assist a customer to balance their checkbook or help us behind the teller line when needed. They were not only dedicated to their craft but committed to our clients.

That spirit has guided me throughout the last 30 years of my banking career and I have always been driven to be the best and take advantage of every opportunity presented to me. As a Commercial Loan Real Estate Assistant, I eagerly studied lending guidelines and principles and I was able to reach my goal of becoming a Construction Loan Lender. When my bank opened a Mortgage Department, I was a Processor and Closer and I evolved to be a Mortgage Originator where I assisted First Time Home-Buyers reach their dream of home ownership. Years later, I was asked to transition to a Consumer Lender and I ultimately became responsible for underwriting and conducting compliance reviews for the entire portfolio.

Today, I use all of these skills and experiences when underwriting each loan application. I can immediately recognize the nuances in each file while reviewing them swiftly and efficiently to make the loan process effortless for our clients. I am honored to once again be part of a team whose priorities continue to be dedicated to our craft and committed to our clients.
